I've been playing some Skyrim recently, and I think in 12 hours of gameplay I've only done about three or so actual quests.
I realised pretty early on that I wasn't interested in playing the game as intended, so I instead opted to ditch the world map/quick travel system and become some sort of wandering alchemy hobo.
I know it sounds stupid, but I'm really enjoying myself. The world is so vast and beautiful that walking through it is incredibly immersive and calming. Lots of places also remind me of parts of Scotland - I'm basically using it as a rambling simulator.
And somehow my character is still levelling! I really appreciate the game design that I can do nothing but skip around picking flowers and hunting elk and still get gameplay rewards.
I suppose so! I did drop a couple of textures over the whole painting to give it a more natural, worn papery look, but the majority of the work is just plain old brushes.
This is beautiful! I also really love that you can roam in Skyrim. As soon as I had enough gold I bought a horse and went north. The ice flows are really cool up there
